SURFER SCIENTISTS in Biarritz

Turning surfboards into scientific platforms.

Working with surfers and coastal communities, the initiative gathers data from the surf zone, one of the least monitored parts of the ocean, helping scientists and communities better understand and respond to coastal change with actionable data.

We are currently testing sensors with Biarritz Surf Ocean, a surf school engaged in creating ocean and environmental awareness.
