    LIZZIE MURRAY

    FOUNDER / CEO

    With a life spent living, travelling and working around the world from childhood, communication became Lizzie’s greatest passion. She learnt that relatable and creative ways to share knowledge from all involved parties developed in context led to innovation. She specialises in co-design of projects in situ with remote coastal communities, using surfing as the initial engagement tool to enable effective conservation action and community development.  

    Lizzie has an Honours degree from University College London in Political Science and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce. She has visited over one hundred countries and is proficient in five languages. Lizzie spent a decade living and working with very reomote communities in Indonesia. Working with the UN she’s committed to impactful global change using passion as a starting-point.

    Keri Algar is a media communication professional and freelance travel writer. Having worked in development journalism, Keri has raised the capacity of individuals in remote, cross-cultural and post-conflict contexts. She believes the effective use of media communication is crucial for communities that wish to play a part in their own development.

    DIRECTOR / TREASURER

    A Liquid Future is my way of creating positive change in the world.” A dynamic finance compliance and HR professional, Katiuce is a director on the board of A Liquid Future Australia.

    Katiuce has had vast experience with financial planning, regulatory compliance, retail banking, high net worth and corporate clientele. Currently she works at SQM Research in Sydney.

    Katiuce lives in Sydney’s Northern Beaches where she enjoys yoga and beach time.

    Director

    Maria is a mother of three and our director. Local to the village of Bido Maria worked at the elementary and secondary schools before becoming director of A Liquid Future. She would like to see local youth, and particular.y girls, with the means and skills to lead their community’s development into the future.

    Cici has a degree in administration and is also a local to Morotai. With a young daughter Cici is keen to see local communities protect and benefit from the surf breaks they live next to.

    Adetiya has a degree in mathematics and is also a teacher at the local senior high school in Bido where he lives. Adetiya believes in providing youth with better opportunities in education to enable them to lead their communities in the future.

    A local to the North Maluku archipelago of Eastenr Indonesia, Aden is a senior data analyst with a love for the ocean. Committed to a better future for the communities, Aden is an ambassador for surfing and its role to improve socio-economic conditions and protect marine resources.

    ACTIVITIES MANAGER

    Sakarias is a local fisherman, surfer, spearfisher and respected village figure. His local knowledge of the marine systems and understanding of the weather passed done through generations makes him a great leader of our ocean activities.
